I think it was something that Prof KH said. Has been nagging at the back of my mind since then. When a scientist tells you to "increase your oxygen intake so that your synapses do not overwork", he really means for you to "take a deep breath and calm down". If a scientist declares that there is "a specimen of Drosophila exploring fluid dynamics in a solution comprising 5M chicken and 2g of salt", he really means to say "Waiter, there's a fly in my soup".

My sorry attempt at being witty. If I failed, just tell me.
